Your Concert Tips from Australian Unity

How we do we get there?

Driving: Each venue will have parking facilities that can be found on the venue’s website, however, just keep in mind that if the other 10,000 concert goers decide to drive too, you could be spending a lot of time in traffic – which will only be beneficial if the kids are asleep.

Drop off / pick up: Always a good option if you can get dropped so it’s only a short stroller ride inside.

Public transport: This is a good one for a number of reasons – making the journey part of the fun, decreasing your environmental footprint, giving all of you some fresh air and space. A range of public transport options can be found on each venue’s website.

Some other more general questions:

How early should we arrive at the concert?

The doors open one hour before the concert. Remember that you have to queue to scan your entry tickets, go through a bag security check, park your pram/stroller, and then find your seat. The earlier you arrive, the less stress is our advice.

What do I do with my pram/stroller?

There is pram/stroller parking available for every show so you don’t have to drag or fold it to take it into the arena. The setup is like a cloak-room, so you can take your pram/ stroller to the ‘pram parking’ and you will be given a ticket by the friendly staff. Once you are ready to leave, simply present this ticket to the staff at the ‘pram parking’.

Food and drink?

There is plenty available to buy at every venue – so get ready for the requests. But, fear not, you are also very welcome to bring some small snacks for your children into the arena, but no nuts thanks! And please just pop any rubbish into the bins before you leave.

How long does the show go for?

The show goes for 80 minutes:

  • Part 1 is the Big Show and runs for 45 minutes
  • Interval is 15 minutes
  • Part 2 is CinderEmma and runs for 20 minutes.

If you haven’t been to a concert before, take our advice here – the kids will be engrossed for the ENTIRE concert!

Baby change facilities?

Baby Changing facilities are available at each venue. Venue staff will be able to direct you on the day if you have difficulty locating these facilities.

What else should you know?

  • Plenty of children will be dressed up in Wiggles gear – so don’t be shy – embrace your inner Wiggle.
  • Don’t be afraid of bringing that Wiggles artwork that will be created by your children before the concert. Dorothy, Wags, Captain Feathersword and The Wiggles love collecting these masterpieces throughout the show.
  • During the show, the lights are dimmed. Make sure you have a phone or torch at the ready to be part of the magic.
  • The show is huge. The arena is huge. It can be quite awe inspiring for adults and kids alike. Give your children time to get used to it.
  • We hope these tips have helped and that you and your family have a great time at the show this weekend!
